Hyphens are traditionally being dropped now. We really should stick with the print spellings as much as possible, even though we don't like it. Remember when cooperation had a dot between the co and the op? Makes sense to me.

Sometimes the idea of English being a living language drives me insane! Now it's correct, though I grit my teeth, to say "A person has their shoes off" or similar. And what about the dropping of the word was. You never hear "If I was," or "If she was." It's always were nowadays. Or I being used in the objective case. "He threw the ball to Bob and I."

Sorry, I've gone on a rant. But the language is definitely changing, and we gotta go with it. That doesn't mean I wantto. <grin>

I wouldn't expect either of back seat or good looking to be hyphenated
at all. Also, what is supposed to be done with line ending hyphens,
since the bookshare tools deal in paragraphs, not lines?
