Alison and I managed a front field circle without getting rained on this
morning. Only moderately notable sighting - about 60 Mourning Doves. Maybe they
got the memo that they aren’t hunted on this place. Tobacco barn owls were
hunkered down where they couldn’t be seen this morning. They may have been
somewhat intimidated by tractor sounds from yesterday. My nephew came up and
used a tractor front end hay fork to load a wheat drill and disk onto a wagon
for later sale. I no longer need either one.
