I'm in the same boat, David. No more CheckMarc available on L4U. When I asked
for support, I got no answer. Do you know if it's permanent?

Hi all,I am new to basil and am excited to get feedback from all of you if you
have the time. My name is David and I fell into the position of the librarian
when our former librarian decided to move on.I am looking for a new library
system as the one we have is old and I no longer get tech help. I cannot use
the checkmarc app as the system is old and I cannot update it. The current
system in use is the L4U and my computer is a MacOSX, 10.6.8; (I think I need a
new desktop as well). We have approximately 8,200 books in our stacks. So, what
system would you recommend? Would I be able to transfer my library file over to
the new system?I will have more questions I'm sure but thank you for your
