Howdy all; Last night was quite nice and we were all amazed at how good it looked after it was so cloudy at 4:30 or so. I had a chance to view the supernova in M 82 using Eric's 22 inch and it was very nice, it is involved within the glow of the galaxy with that aperture. There is a nearby star that is not within the galaxy and last night was brighter than the supernova. Brent Archinal and I observed some clusters in the ED 80 and then sat and talked for half an hour or so as the sky got better and better. We talked about seeing conditions in various locations, how cold it is in Flagstaff and past observing sessions. Tom and Jeannie came over and viewed a few things in the little refractor. A fun night. It is 3 PM and the clouds are thickening, so Don and I may get very little viewing done tonight. Clear skies to us all; Steve Coe -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
