"One thing no-one seems to have said is that TW pay is well above the = average ..." Looking at some of the job adverts in the UK, TW jobs are going for = anything from =A325k to =A340K but I am sure people earn more too. That = would be double in Aus dollars I think. So the average in the UK may be = =A332K - =A335K ish. What's the average in Australia? Inner city rents are more than made up for if you don't have a car and = can use public transport. What you save on the car/petrol, pays for the = additional rent - but public transport is patchy, so you need to check = this out well. If you take a job somewhere that has trouble finding workers they may = arrange the accommodation for you. Look for mine sites in isolated = areas and maybe Canberra (once did do this - don't know if they still = do). In fact, thinking about it, Canberra would be a good starting = place. ck -----Original Message----- From: austechwriter-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:austechwriter-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of siri sood Sent: Thursday, 19 June 2008 8:14 PM To: austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: atw: Re: technical writers/editors in Melbourne Hi David, You are welcome.
