Thanks for your lengthy (and horrifying) story, Michael (and your help Andrea - I'll attempt your suggested solution). But I think the overall solution is to go to the client site and create a new template, with macros, under Office 2000. Having created a document in 97, using the original template, I see that there are actually only three macros. The first two I can easily re-create. The third is more of a problem since I'm not sure what it's supposed to be doing (I suspect I need one of the client's documents to play with). Hopefully the client will know, or I'll be able to find a description of its function in the supporting documentation (thank heavens we keep archives). _________________________________________________________ Stuart Lecky, Project Manager __________________________ HCi Better communications Better Management (61-2) 9232 6669 (ph) http://www.hci.com.au (61-2) 9232 1002 (fax) GPO Box 4846 Sydney 2001 Australia ************************************************** To post a message to austechwriter, send the message to austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe to austechwriter, send a message to austechwriter-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "subscribe" in the Subject field.
