One of the major problems with tech writing is an issue the ASTC NSW westies
group is banging its head on right now. No-one reads the stuffy old books so
everyone has their own ideas on how to do and there is little certification
or recognition of standardised material.

This being the case, I wonder why we bother persevering with:

standards
university curriculi
ASTC newsletters
websites

etc
