according to me, you are not select the track containing the imported audio.
You should make sure that by pressing insert+tab. If jaws says something
like select on, then you'll be able to edit it. If not, press enter to
select it.

Subject: [audacity4blind] question about deleting part of a track, still
learning!
Hi,
So here is what I did.
I opened up audacity, imported the audio track, placed the curser at a
stopping point in the track.
I wanted to delete from the curser all the way to the start of the track.
I did shift j and then CTRL k and when I pressed P or spacebar to play it
back, nothing happened.
Of course, I am doing something wrong, so can someone inlighten me?
Thanks.
