Hi Rachid
Further to Samir's suggestions: If you want a portable recorder that is
accessible, there are several in the Olympus range that have spoken
menus. I own and love the LS-100, which is the most expensive of their
recorders. That said, smaller ones will still make a more than
acceptable recording for podcast purposes.
If you use a portable recorder with in-built stereo mikes it would be
difficult to get good separation between two speakers. As for three
people, that would even be a challenge with a mixer going into
Audacity. Provided your mixer has at least three microphone inputs,
each person could have their own mike. However, unless you have a very
clever (expensive) sound card you will not be able to record more than
two tracks at once. Audacity can certainly handle the recording of more
than two tracks simultaneously, but there is a limitation with consumer
grade sound cards. If you cannot afford a multi-channel sound card, you
could cut and paste one person to a new track. That could get tedious,
but is feasible.

Hi Rachid
I use the Behrinjer Zenix fx 1204 uSB. Compared to the rest of the
mixers out there, it is in my view the best most cost effective entry
level mixer on the market and most certainly will help record your
podcasts with relative simplicity.
It's not large, but I wouldn't call it an extremely travel friendly
mixer though.

That's too bad of the zoom. I was hoping that it would be a good travel
option.
Are you maybe able to recommend an audio mixer that is user friendly?
Cheers,
Rachid

Hi Rachid
I would recommend a smallish USB mixer or an external USB sound card with a
PC or laptop capable of running Audacity.
The zoom handy recorders are unfortunately completely blind unfriendly.
Hope this helps.

Just joined the list, and hoped I could ask a question;
I'm want to record serval interviews/podcasts involving 3 persons at
the same time.
I hope to give each person including me a microphone so as to have a
good recording quality.
I'm able to work with the basics of audacity and would like to edit
each speakers track aftherwards;
My question?
What device would you recommend that is most accessible for a blind
user that can do multi track recording?
Is one of the zoom recorders a good option? Or maybe an other option?
Thanks for any help in this regard;
Cheers!
Rachid
