I should come and watch you work sometime. You are a source of all things

Thanks for your help and information. I'm busy working on a new project and
you guys are being extremely helpful.

Hi Rachid

Fortunately USB mixers connect directly to PCS and Laptops.  As Andrew
said earlier, the downside to most entry level USB mixers is that it
only sends out a single stereo track so one won't be able to record
individual tracks for each mic in your scenario.

Kind regards

Sameer

Thanks Sameer. I will definately look it up.

If you have an usb mixer, do you still need to buy a multichannel
soundcard
or is the usd mixer directly connected to the pc?

Hi Rachid

I use the Behrinjer Zenix fx 1204 uSB.  Compared to the rest of the
mixers
out there, it is in my view the best most cost effective entry level
mixer
on the market and most certainly will help record your podcasts with
relative simplicity.

It's not large, but I wouldn't call it an extremely travel friendly mixer
though.

Sameer

Thanks Sameer for your response.

That's too bad of the zoom. I was hoping that it would be a good
travel option.
Are you maybe able to recommend an audio mixer that is user friendly?

Cheers,

Rachid

Hi Rachid

I would recommend a smallish USB mixer or an external USB sound card
with a PC or laptop capable of running Audacity.

The zoom handy recorders are unfortunately completely blind unfriendly.

Hope this helps.

Hi List,

Just joined the list, and hoped I could ask a question;

I'm want to record serval interviews/podcasts involving 3 persons at
the same time.

I hope to give each person including me a microphone so as to have a
good recording quality.

I'm able to work with the basics of audacity and would like to edit
each speakers track aftherwards;

My question?

What device would you recommend that is most accessible for a blind
user that can do multi track recording?

Is one of the zoom recorders a good option? Or maybe an other option?

Thanks for any help in this regard;

Cheers!

Rachid
