I haven't got the > Artworks cribsheet to hand to check whether F6 is otherwise used. F6 is hard wired in ArtWorks to switch to the Rectangle tool. So you shouldn't use that for a Keystroke key. Also the option to set tool Shortcuts works on [TAB] followed by another key.
