90% ? was the gauze pack black or half-destroyed after use? Silvered stainless?
Pack looked short compared to Mercury RCS.

Subject: [AR] Test this weekend...

I fired the new 3D printed motor 3 times yesterday.

Most of the issues were related to test stand, the fuel valve seems to be
leaking.

Since the motor was vertical and fuel goes in below the cat pack not an issue
for hardstarts.

You can see a cartoon of the motor on my blog. (Unreasonable Rocket
http://unreasonablerocket.blogspot.com/2015/11/motor-design.html)

The first firing we did not get good decomposition of the peroxide in the CAT
pack. We skipped the smarium nitrate treatment step, and this may have
contributed. Muffed getting the data off the controller, no data.

For the second firing we set the feed pressure really low 20 psi.. and ran
peroxide through he cat pack to season it. At the end of that run we were
still not having good decompositon...no attempt to record data.

For the third run we had some test stand and battery issues that caused us a
delay...

When we were finally ready most everyone else was done for the day so no one
was filming and our one

gopro got set too close and flipped over.

The Third run looked really good almost clear exhaust and really good sound.
Motor is designed to run at 250psi max inlet, this run was about 175. (Reusing
the test stand from a smaller motor and the valve is too small, an easy fix)
Got Chamber pressure of ~ 140 so the cooling and cat pack drops were right
where I would expect them at this flow. Got good data from the run.

Hope to fix test stand issues and be back out there on Dec 5th.
