I was looking for a tool which allows me to compare how two gamuts
overlap. I thought that I could find a program which allows me to
create the intersection of two VRML files containing two different
volumes, but have not found a solution so far.

I've added such a function to the next release, viewgam now has
a -i/-I flag, that will compute and print this information (as well
as producing the usual VRML output). For instance:

  %% viewgam 3dap.gam srgb.gam -i test.wrl
Intersecting volume = 345969.1 cubic units
  '3dap.gam' volume = 378522.3 cubic units, intersect = 91.40%
  'srgb.gam' volume = 899158.0 cubic units, intersect = 38.48%

You can also save the intersection as a gamut, and then view it, ie:

  %% viewgam 3dap.gam srgb.gam -I isect.gam test.wrl
  %% viewgam -t0.5 3dap.gam srgb.gam -s isect.gam test.wrl
