Hi Roland, From one Mac user to another, great going. I use my Mighty Mac G5 iMac for all my backups of designs. I have a hybrid network with Windows XP Pro machines for embroidery (one for design shop and one for Amaya OS). The Amaya OS computer is dual homed and has the Amaya on its own dedicated network port isolated from the rest of the world. I use the Mighty Mac through the network to backup all my designs and original stock patterns from Balboa, Dakota and Great Notions. When backup day comes around (usually weekly), I connect to the machine that stores all the patterns (Amaya OS machine), the individual folders and tell the Mac to burn them using Roxio Toast Titanium 7.0.2 to DVD-ROM. I can read the finished disc on any of my machines, Windows XP or Mac. Very simple process. An additional bonus with your Macs, you can get iLife 6 and have iMovie and iDVD to make movies as well. I sometimes do that for "special customers". I will video the process I go though when doing their order, even the stitching, and send a DVD of it to them in the box. I have a Sweatshop Camera online in my Amaya room anytime the machine is running. Regards, Doug Parker JTB Embroidery Services, Inc.
