If you have a bigger needle I would use it.  I use 90/14 for Metallic Thread 
for best results.  Metallic has good coverage and you shouldn't need to use 
any underlay on it.  4 density is good, you can even go 4.5 or 5 sometimes 
depending on the letter size.
