Anand, Here's where this job got interesting. I had to use metallic thread but the garment was a knit. I ended up using a 75/11 sharp due to the metallic thread. Certain machines still had issues with keeping the thread the right tension. I was hoping that a small sharp like 75/ll wouldn't end up creating holes in the garment. So far that doesn't look like it will be an issue. I have to resew 4 garments that had looping so bad I couldn't let them go out. What a pain ... We use 75/11 Sharps as standard. They are ok on picque knit as long as you have the right backing. The other day on 185gsm Cotton Colarado or jersey knit I had to switch to 65/10 Balls and slow the machine to 600. Anand Aaron, Can you use that needle on a knit? You always use a sharp to sew metallic, don't you?
