I have 4 email addresses right now, 2 more coming for another
business we are starting up.
The majority of our 'spam' goes to my 'graphic' email, (signman) but
every once in awhile we get some on our 'personal' email which is
lucky if we send a personal note every 6 months! And then I have a
'scout' email account...which when it gets onto a spam list, is
usually porno!!!! So we can usually figure out where the possibility
of spamming is coming from.
Sometimes I can figure out it came from a business website...when
their 'name' is attached and they know nothing about it.
Hard to say how they get the lists...but they do!
You cannot have an email anywhere on the net without it being
'attached' to a server...otherwise you'd never get email...so they
might even have some sort of 'virus' that just travels the web
looking for a new email address being 'tested' or listed or something.
I get 3-4 or more 'ebay' spams a day-all bogus...but they have
certain info that only eBay has....and eBay is probably one of the
more protected sites!
