Thanks to all that responded to me both on and off list. To answer some
questions that were asked of us: The part that broke off was one of the
active feed levers. I was fixing a thread break and when I went to return
it to the down position, it snapped off.

Someone referred to donuts when using 1000M thread - we weren't shipped any
with the machines - most be another 'extra' I'll need to order?

As you can probably tell, we are disappointed that the Amaya's are not what
was represented to us both in the literature that was sent to us and at the
show's we attended. One respondent from the list told us it took a good
three months for his company to turn the corner with the Amaya's. Time will
tell if we are successful on the Amaya's, but after 5 years of successful
embroidery on a Barudan machine, I certainly didn't think I'd need to start
over just because we choose a Melco machine instead of another Barudan.

On a more positive note, we were on the phone with Melco several times
today, and I've got to say that they are responsive. Most of my
conversations were with Don McCredie and he certainly did get the ball
rolling on us getting the education on the machines that we apparently need.

Again, I want to thank everyone who responded and I'll keep my eyes on the
on the postings for any other helpful hints anyone may have.
