Hey Roland,
What are the chances that your Design Shop software and your Amaya
Operating System software are not in fact the same version number??? If
you've upgraded your Design Shop to get new features or for any reason and
figured there was no reason to upgrade your Amaya OS, then your problems
might be stemming from here. I was doing that myself, going from the newest
Design Shop to an older Amaya OS version and the designs were doing all kind
of crazy things. The only way to capture all the new bells and whistles
from software to design is to save it as an .exp file. Of course editing
will be tricky as you'll have to go back to the original file to make
changes and save again as an .exp file.
        Could this be your problem?

Hi Veena...
I have been saving the changes-and then reloading the file each time-but
then realized the changes were NOT being saved! IF they were-who knows where
it's going! I have noticed under the 'file' listing in DS that I always end
up with TWO file names for the last design worked on-I wonder if 'one' of
the duplicates is a ghost-and when I save to that one it goes to embroidery
limbo? Anone else see the 'double' file names?
Last nite I finished the changes, renamed the file, and shut down
everything. When I open it up tomorrow we'll see if the new file has all the
changes-if it does-then I'll have to start doing changes, then shutting down
to save them!
Bob Spear from Melco just told us on the phone that it does NOT sound
right-shouldn't be working like that! Also says he doesn't know if the
'newest' upgrade is really out-last one we got was late last fall-and I've
been told the newest one was released in April or May....so I'm getting two
different stories here.
