FOIA was created so elected officials could send constituents somewhere elseto
get answers to their pointed questions....
Shouldnt we just be able to ask these questions of elected officials and
havethem get the answers for all of us and public them in the newspaper?
My property taxes when up by a 1/3 in about 4 years.
I asked where the money was going
They made me do a FOIA Request, etc etc.
I proposed that that every Minnesota Municipality should be required to postits
budget and actual expenditures, in laymans terms and with no aggregates of
morethan $1000 on the Internet....
No Brainer, right...
Its 10 years later, still hasnt happened.
Don't WE THE TAXPAYERS have the right to know?
