Hi.

Which website are we talking about, the one with the free AD movies?

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi, any card which will work with Media Centre will be fine. I’ve got a Black
Gold twin satelite tuner model which came with my PC, but there seems to be
some very cheap satelite cards out there at the moment. I think there are even
a couple which will accept Sky viewing cards but I don’t think you can use your
full sky subscription, just the freesat channels. I also use that website with
the free audio versions of audio described movies on it and so now don’t need
to pay a fortune for Sky Movies. Very good to say that most of the movies on
there are described by Sky anyway, and the movies on the site are literaly this
years movies which Sky haven’t shown yet.

  Hi Peter

Which PC tuner card do you have? I’m asking because many cards have software
that is not accessible so it’s a major find to discover one that works with
screen readers.

Hi, if I were still using Sky then yes I’d be using it all the time as
despite it’s limited functionality it is still very useful compared to what and
how we accessed sky plus before. I’ve now switched to using a satelite tuner
card on my media centre PC and have all the freesat channels, all fully
accessible including the synopsis, series info etc. The great thing is that if
there is a clash with programmes set to record it actually automatically finds
the clashed episode on other channels i.e. if Eastenders clashes with two other
programmes it then automatically records it later on BBC Three. I’ve got less
channels than on sky but still hundreds of them and it’s all very very
searchable so I’m actually watching much more TV now. I’d recommend this option
to anyone. You just need a windows 7 PC and a satelite tuner TV card which can
be got for quite cheap.

Two months down the road I'm interested to know who got a Sky Talker and if
they use it often and find it useful.

It was talked down quite a bit because potential users were upset that it was
feature poor, but has it made a difference to the way you use Sky?

IT'd be really good to hear from you.
