I thought it has been adopted in September!
So as I understand it, it seems transcription companies
must use the UEB code, but are are free to offer a choice.
That said, I can see their can not be a choice if it's
non personal like books.
But if the transcription is personal, then that may make a
difference.

Like learning to deal with a touchscreen, the best way to my mind of
dealing
with UEB is to accept that it is here to stay. There should be nothing
new
offered in Standard English Braille. The sooner the old syystem is
forgotten, the less likely it is that confusion will arise and the
more
chance Braille has of surviving. The changes are far from radical so
let's
adopt it and stop hankering after what is now the past.

change, but rather, discuss the right to a choice of code used.
Well we can choose grade 1 or grade 2 Braille.
So why not a choice for the Braille code.
Not sure how the transcription software would manage it!
