It would be useful to know how it was built.
Was a speech synth chipset added to a standard Goodmans Freeview box or
was it a brand new spec taking the drain of the speech synth into
account? I'm pretty sure that this must have been discussed.

I reckon the Goodmans is more a concept product. I would be interested
to learn how much a faster processor would have inflated the price by.
