Hi Alison
Remove merely removes the podcast from the device on which you happen to be
working. Delete From Library removes the podcast from all your devices.

Or are you saying if I only choose to delete the download, that episode will
remain in my Library? If so, where is that library for in general, once I’ve
heard an episode, I no longer want to keep it. So, if all these deleted
episodes are lurking somewhere in a library, I’d like to tidy them away.
