no it will download the messages, but if it is a large number of messages it will just hang. it may be something to do with the latest windows update as for ie 7, i haven't installed that yet, and won't until theres a more stable version. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barry G" <lister@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Simon, another thought, I checked my running processes and initially didn't see anything unusual but, when I ticked the show processes for all users, I suddenly saw two entries using quite a lot of memory. They look like they are to do with Windows update.I have not updated my JFW yet and so automatic updates keeps telling me to download and install the latest Internet Explorer. I can't remember when I was first offered that, but maybe it's something to do with that. I can't think of any reason why, but I guess the next question has to be, are you and everyone else having the OE problem holding off on the download but still getting the invitation to take it?All the best, a very puzzled Barry G----- Original Message ----- From: "simon.dowling" <simodowl@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 14, 2006 1:39 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: outlook express freezing computerhi Barry, no I use nod32, even when I disable email checking it still hangs. I have noticed however it only happens when receiving a large volume of messages, perhaps everyone who is having this problem set up email checking every 10 minutes til microsoft sorts themselves out.hth----- Original Message ----- From: "Barry G" <lister@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 14, 2006 12:38 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: outlook express freezing computerI have the same problem since about 8th November, but it doesn't actually hang the PC if you wait long enough. I did a Ctrl+Alt+Del and when I chose to end the programme, OE was listed as not responding...Touch wood, it's working most of the time. Just a thought, is everyone that has this problem using AVG?Barry G----- Original Message ----- From: "simon.dowling" <simodowl@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 14, 2006 12:15 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: outlook express freezing computerI am having the same probs here, and I no of 3 more peeps who are experiencing the same as well. ----- Original Message ----- From: "kevin and emma" <kream@xxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, November 13, 2006 3:16 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: outlook express freezing computerhi, does the crash happen while your still connected to the server? kevin (lord L) "Civilization exists by geological consent, subject to change without notice." - will durant email/msn: kream@xxxxxxxxxxxx----- Original Message ----- From: "Tony PEARCE" <pearcet@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, November 13, 2006 11:54 AM Subject: [access-uk] outlook express freezing computerHello,I am running windows xp home and dolphin 7 and when I download messagesfromorange pop3 using outlook express, all the messages download, but mycomputer freezes up and I have to reboot to read them.
