i have had a problem with outlook express yesterday in as much as it decided 
it didn't recognise my password. i had to put it back in and everything 
seems to be back to normal. fingers crossed.

AVG isn't the issue as far as I can tell. I've been using it for over two
years now.  Something weird does seem to have happened to Outlook Express
though. My alt-gr key stops working when OE is in focus over the last week,
plus I had the phantom messages which I ggot rid of by unchecking view by
conversation.
