To me this all sounds very complicated. It will not happenk, but bring back the
good old rradio downloader.

Jeff, to download Book at Bedtime, The Restoration of Otto Laird, Episode 5
on BBC Radio 4 you:

  1. Go to this episode’s listen again page on BBC iPlayer. This is the
page where you would listen to it online.

  2. Press F6 to focus on the address bar of this page. In our example
the URL is

  http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04mhd61

  3. The PID is the string of 8 characters and numbers that begins with
b0. It’s usually at the end of the URL for radio programs. In this example the
PID is b04mhd61.

  4. The command line to download using this PID reads

  get_iplayer --pid b04mhd61 --aactomp3 --type=radio

  That’s it.

One thing though, because you’ve been trying to download these episodes you
may have to add the --force option for the first couple of times. The command
line with force reads

  get_iplayer --pid b04mhd61 --aactomp3 --type=radio --force

  Hope that helps,

  Amro

I am certain this is my stupidity, but
I have been on the IPlayer pages plus the schedule pages but I can not find
a PID for love nor money.
Could somebody tell me if I am looking for an episode of "Book at Bedtime"
how I would find the PID?
Any episode any book just need to know the stages I need to proceed through
so I can find just one number, sorry about this.
  Jeff
