Hi,

I should mention that I am concerned about my VM box doing this as I record
programs in Sound Forge with the box connected to the PC via audio leeds. So
obveously my recording process isn't detected by the box.

Yes provided that you are using Sky+ to record with then there is no problem
at all when it goes into standby. It is when you use something like a video
or DVD recorder to record Sky programmes with that the problems might occur.
The simple way to get round it going into standby is to simply turn off the
mains for a few seconds and then turn on again and it will reboot and all
should be well after that.
