Thanks Steve. I'll get someone with sight to check it out at some
point. It just answers a query I had pondered for a while as I knew I
hadn't done anything myself to alter its behaviour. I was just becoming
aware that when I got home and put the news on, it always seems to be on
standby. As I was watching Eurosport while getting ready for work this
morning, chances are that the box will be off when I get in tonight, so
mine must go off some time during the day.

I'm not sure though Jackie, but even if your sky box goes into standby.
I'm pretty sure it'll still record anything you have programmed. And if
you've manually started to record something, it won't go into auto
standby anyway.
Not until the programme has finished.

Steve
