Hi Chris.

Just to clarify, Sky do provide a line rental should you wish to switch from

your BT line rental.  However, I'm not sure the question was just around 
having access to a landline to be able to use certain functions of Sky TV 
such as ordering movies and the like to which the answer is, no, you don't 
need to be hooked up to a telephone line at all as long as you don't want to

use those features..
