Hi Eleanor.
Have you visited the online today pages at www.rnib.org.uk/onlinetoday? You
can also call the helpline on 03031239999 and speak to someone about the
project and the events held in your area. There is a personal training
element of Online Today yes, but it is mainly (as i understand it) focused
workshops held throughout the UK. this is for training to help you get and
or stay online with a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets and
computers.
All the best, Ibrahim.

well it has to be the best kept secret ever! I have never heard about it on
the list, only I met this gentleman yesterday I still would know nothing
about it. perhaps somebody from RNIB
could point us to a link on the website where we could read about it. I
would also be interested to know the terms of the lottery fund and if only
those who purchase a computer from RNIB can avail of this training.

Hi Hazel
My understanding is that as part of the lottery on line today grant, RNIB
are recruiting volunteers to help V I people learn how to use their
computers, smart phones etc in their own homes.
best wishes
Henry

Jackie all I wanted was to try an I phone to see if I would get on with
one but I was told I would have to buy any device from them to get the
training.

am wondering if there are also trainers who are volunteers and teaching
