Hi Carol.

I recall doing this years ago for my external drive, but i think that as a security feature you cannot share your c: drive with people on your network. Forgive me for asking, but why would you want to share the hole of your drive anyway? If viruses are spread across your network, that's a huge security flaw! Could you not just share certain folders that aren't related to the well being of your system? Or you may wish to consider pourchasing a network storage device, they don't cost much at all. feel free to get in touch off list to continue this discussion, or i can call you at your convenience.

all the best,

Mo.

Hi all,

Iâm stuck in networking this combination. I think my problem is in the permissions granted to use the whole of the âCâ drive on the Windows 7 machine. Everything else appears OK. Accessing XP machine working fine; some folders on Windows 7 computer are also accessible and, although I have ticked the box to access the whole drive, I just am not getting there.

If anyone feels they can help me with this, probably over the phone, could you let me know via email of a suitable time/day, please.

Thanks.
