I'm not at all impressed with the speech synthesizer that I've heard on the Kindle. It's one of those less crisp, slightly mumbly ones with questionable ability to pronounce things all that well.
Wouldn't it be cool if Kindle created a version without the screen? After all, it's all that clever electronic ink display that a) adds to the bulk and b) is most expensive.
