Chris, I've done it, that's absolutely brill. I just pressed the star key and
looked for the three symbols you told me and then selected them. Low and
behold smiley face comes up. Fab. Now what I'd like to know is if there is a
list of these emotions so I can use them. I think it's clever that TALKS says
the emotion.

Jackie, you have to know the ascii character combination in order to produce
an emoticon. For example, a smiley would be typed as a colon, followed by a
dash, followed by a closing parenthesis. Hope that helps.

How do you insert an emotion into your text using a Nokia mobile with
TALKS? I've been asked how to do this and I'm buggered if I can find anything
on mine that does it. Do you need predictive text on to get it because I don't
use that. By pressing the star key, it brings up a whole list of symbols you
can insert into text like hyphens and other punctuation, but not smiley faces,
sad faces and winks etc. TALKS does recognise them when they appear in text
messages I receive, but I can't reproduce them myself, and a friend has asked
me how to do it too.
