Hi,

Yes, you'll need to find out the Imap settings, instead of the Pop3
settings. The main one you'll need is the Imap incoming server and the port
number if it is not standard. Outgoing SMTP remains the same.

All the best

Steve

But Steve - Can you tell me what I need to do to make this change? Do I need
to make any changes under accounts for each device? Do I have to change some
settings on the Plusnet website? -

directly with the server, so if you delete an email on one device, it gets
deleted on the server. In fact the Emails are not stored on the device,
unless you specifically open them.

to. This is via pop3. I now have a MacBook and an iPhone and iPod also set
up to receive mail. Thing is, when I've downloaded mail to either the Mac or
the phone/pod, when I open the laptop [the original machine where mail was
set up] everything downloads again to it. I'd like to have mail removed from
the server when downloaded, so does this mean I need to change from pop3 to
imap? If so, what do I need to do for each device, or on my providers
website.
