I don't know whether Mike is a guide dog owner, and perhaps it doesn't
matter anyway, but Guide Dogs did produce a booklet called something like
"10 tips for Bus Drivers" and it might be worth getting a copy and sending
it to Stagecoach. Also each Mobility Team has an Engagement Officer and it
might be worth chatting with them to see if they would offer Awareness
Training.

Complaining has its place but what we really want is the problem to go away
and only awareness can achieve this.

Mike, I'm sure that, if my experience is anything to go by, a phone call to the
local Stagecoach office will see the problem addressed.

That company has, to my knowledge, been very willing to ascertain the needs of
its VI passengers, and, certainly here in Perth (where Stagecoach has its HQ),
the service and assistance I get from bus drivers is generally of a very high
standard, and delivered professionally.

Hello list.

Has anybody any experience of making complaints to Stagecoach about the conduct
of bus drivers with reference to our needs?

Is it like complaining about waiters in restaurants?  In other words the
consequences are worse than the original offence?

Mike
