hi there I must I acquired my iphone in March and never thought I would manage the switch over. I still have my nokia e 65 as a stand by on pay as you go but It is incredible how cheap the apps are and once you have got over the learning curve it is truly amazing. I have the iphone 3gs 32 gig with a thirty pound per month with vodafone with free internet.

some of my apps are
sky mobile tv which costs six pounds per month but I have eight sky channels.
my big worry with the phone is the signal is not as good as it should be in some locations and the battery life goes down if you use wiffi or other services.
I have gps on the phone mainly
navigon which is useable cost £60 or there abouts.
I also love ootunes radio which let's me listen to hundreds of radio stations and they are so clear. my other moan is lack of being able to listen to local football commentary as it uses flash. I must say though the signal and battery difficulties have been seen to with the new iphone and I understand in two weeks the big upgrade to my existing phone is free. voice over is great and though some apps are not accessible my overall feeling is apple deserves real credit for giving us access. whith the new version we have braille displays as well and we must remember we are only at the start with the iphone.
hth.

Can one post a link to a good place for iPhone applications please? I'd like to have a look....

I must say that this new iPhone sounds good. Problem is I don't like touch screen phones but I'm very tempted if I'm honest!

Steve,

But have the apps I've tried if not more than that with talks just won't
speak. Voice Over does tempt...

Barry.

Hi Chris,

But Apple isn't the only game. Talks will let you access touch screens, as
will Mobile Speak.

All the best

Steve

Brilliant idea. I applaud Apple for what they are doing for making these
otherwise inaccessible devices accessible. I am contemplating getting an
iPod Touch myself, and I can see my family be amazed when I tell them I
can use a touch screen without sighted assistance.
