Dave, I completely agree with you here. Symbian is dying out not just in my mind but from some phone nuts I have been speaking to Nokia is developing a whole new platform. Very heavily Java based. At this point I'd rather get an Android or I phone that allows Developers without very little thought to make their apps speak. Not to mention how rapidly Voice Overs development is. I've an N86 here and the Help screens still wont' read with talks. We just got Email support about 3 months back at the longest. Nope, I'm sure Voice Over on the I Phone or Android aren't perfect but the point is it's very nice that they are being worked on and their companys/communitys communicate with people. Talks in my opinion aren't a million miles away from Freedom Sci in-terms of customer responsiveness and/or lack of "Wow factor" these days. Barry. We know everything works on the iPhone and that new aps are coming out all the time, many of which are also accessible. I for one am seriously considering the switch, though I do want to see the iPhone in action at the BCAB Sight Village Plus event, details of which are at www.bcab.org.uk I hope somebody has a good selection of modern phones on their stand and can comment as you always used to Steve, but I think we'd all be interested in basic descriptions of phones and how well they work with talks, if anybody can send them!
