Many thanks for your input as well. How easy is it to update a phone with
an older version of the operating software on it? What is it like for
texting, and are the gestures similar to the iPhone or a completely
different experience?

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi

I am an android user and I am totally blind. Android is now very
accessible. I am currently using the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro which
has a qwerty keyboard and is currently running gingerbread, (android version
2.3) I am shortly due to upgrade my phone to Ice-Cream Sandwich which is
android 4.0 which is also accessible. I currently use my android phone with
no trouble at all. Accessibility in Android is coming along in leaps and
bounds.

Debbie

Ditto Jackie but maybe I am wrong, I think Android is like saying
Symbian
only a different software but then what of the manufacturer. Nokia
have
Symbian so who have Android, wondering if it is Sony Erickson. I am
totally
confused about these phones too otherwise I would have an interest
in them
if they are now said to be better than Nokia Symbian.
