Hi Klem,
I will check the Reshade profile’s location and will let you know (99% sure it
is where il-2.exe file is located). I currently do not use RTSS as I’m capping
the FPS with ingame settings. It works quite nice I must say.
Stay tuned. I will come back to you.

Hi Cina,
As you know I am tearing my hair out (not much left!) over not being able to
see what you see. I'm trying to set up my settings the same as yours in the
email below. There are a couple of things I don't understand:
nVidia graphics settings - done ok.
Reshade:
What was I supposed to enter for Presets when first installing? I downloaded
all the effects (.fx) offered and only ticked the ones in the first line of
your .ini file. Was that correct? (sorry but the installation notes are
random and only fit for the super-geeks)
Where does your attached Reshade profile (or it's contents) go? I have a
Reshade.ini (attached) in the \bin\game\ folder but it looks nothing like
your profile.
RTSS:
I don't yet have RTSS, how critical is that to the process?
In-Game:
I will set as yours when I hear about Reshade and RTSS questions.
Cheers
klem

Hi Guys,
I promised to send you my graphics setting for BOX so here they are. I hope
you can benefit from that. For a start a little background info. I'm using
one 27 inch 1080p monitor with TN technology but no adaptive sync technology
or similar. My rig is Intel i5 4th generation processor with 16GB RAM and
1660Ti GPU (6GB memory). The CPU is overclocked on all cores to 4.3 GHz. GPU
is working on factory settings. For improving my graphics and having smooth
gameplay in BOX I use the following:
1. nVidia graphics setting (I use nVidia Profile Inspector but it's
basically the same as nVidia settings)
2. Graphics setting in game
3. Reshade 4.3.0
4. Riva Tuner Statistics Server (latest version I think)
Two first tools are self-explanatory. I use Reshade for improving color
saturation and sharpening the image. I treat Reshade as post processing
image enhancer. Riva Tuner server is used as frame rate limiter. I think
it's the best frame limiter with lowest latency.
Important! All four tools combined together provide me with smooth frame
rate in the game and nice image quality.
So for the nVidia settings I send you the screenshots. They are from nVidia
Inspector but you should easy to find those setting in nVidia panel. You
will see that I have V-synch forced on here. This setting works together
with the graphics settings in the game. I have full screen enabled in the
game and vsync is off in the game.
Graphics setting from the game are also included. As you will notice I have
Sharpen filter disabled in the settings. This is because I use Reshade for
sharpening the image.
My Reshade profile is also attached. I downloaded it from BOX forum and
tweaked it a little. The profile uses AdaptiveSharpen and Colorfulness
shaders for color saturation improvements and image sharpening. All shaders
in the profile are low tax on your GPU. When you will be installing Reshade
for il-2.exe select only those two shaders I mentioned to install for BOX
unless you want to use other shaders as well.
RTSS is capping frame rate at 74 fps for BOX (see attachment). My monitor's
refresh rate is 75Hz at Full HD (1920x1080) resolution so I cap the fps at
max refresh - 1.
When I play BOX the fps holds at 74 fps, momentarily dropping depending on
circumstances, but it holds there most of the time. If you have better rig
than mine those settings should be no problem for your system and you can
test them. I do not know how will they work with Klem's 3 monitors setup or
Roblex's 1050Ti. But to improve the frame rate you can do the following:
1. Change the nVidia setting for Vsync to 'Adaptive sync'.
2. Change ingame setting 'Full screen' unchecked.
3. Change ingame setting 'Vsync' checked.
4. Set the game screen resolution to your monitor's native resolution.
Those four combined together should boost the frame rate but may introduce
some stutters.
I think that is all I use to set the graphics. Check it for yourself.
Reshade and RTSS installation packages and instructions can be found on the
internet. Put those in google search and you will find them. If you have
questions I'm ready to answer them.
I should be on TS tonight at about 20:30 UK time so I can assist with
configuring those things.
Cheers,
Cina
