Hi 0e6,
you can edit the name of the shorcut by right clicking on it and deleting=
 the text.

There is a tool included with Tweak UI

I have Windows 98. Whenever I make a Desktop shortcut to a
program, it puts a little curved arrow on the lower corner of the
icon, and it names the thing as 'shortcut to...[program]'.

How can I get it to not add the arrow, and not say 'shortcut
to...' in the name of the shortcut?
