Boxer (and DOSBox) only see drives, and their contents, that have been "mounted" in the configuration file. So for example one can mount the Mac desktop as, say, d:\; then anything on it is recognized. Files in other locations on the host just don't exist for it, unless and until their location is mounted as a drive.
