OK, guys, in the Shameless Plug department, if you live in North America and you decide to purchase a control surface or other audio-related gear, please call us at Dancing Dots. We offer the same gear you can get from the online retailers at competitive prices. After-sales support comes from fellow blind audio producers and your purchase helps Dancing Dots to continue in its mission to develop and adapt accessible music technology. Our site lists the hardware we sell most often. But we can typically get what you're looking for from one of our suppliers even if you do not find it on our site. I don't need details or hand-holding, but not sure what tweak is needed. I've given up on Mackie Control compatible gear like the ProjectMix and BCF2000, and now have a real Mackie Control Universal Pro. Also dumping my BCR2000 for a Mackie C4. Of the other low-cost surfaces, only the ProjectMix, and perhaps the FW1884, are close to the MCU's construction quality. Of course, the ProjectMix and FW1884 are old products with horrible Mac support now, so not good options, anyway. For others on the list that might be curious about the differences, the MCU has more dedicated buttons for functions than any of the other units that I listed. The MCU Pro is also significantly more compact than they are. Finally, the jog wheel on the MCU Pro is beefier, has a bit of weighted inertia to it, and has an all-around better feel to it than the ones that I've used on the ProjectMix and FW1884. The other Mackie Control compatible units always seem to cut some corner or another, even if a small one, and it is nice to finally have the real deal. The Logic development team have a copy of the application and I'm waiting to hear some suggestions. There is a way around, but it's dependent on you having sighted help to set it up, so this is obviously unsatisfactory. I'll post back on this as soon as I have something more constructive to add. Best wishes.
