The nearest thing in Sonar is the Step Sequencer (don't get it confused with
the Step Record function). It's not great accessibility-wise, but it can be
made to work to some degree if you hit it hard enough.

Jean Philippe, I don't know of anything, but wouldn't simply looping a part

does anyone know of an accessible midi looper that one could insert on a
sonar midi track, and that would allow building MIDI loops on-the-fly, a bit
like old rhythm machines or hardware sequencers such as the MPC 3000 ?
