Hello,
While birding Huntley Meadows on Monday morning between 8am and 10am, I
spotted a Green treefrog on a blade of the Cattail grasses fairly close to
the far side of the boardwalk beyond the observation tower. With more
searching, another birder (Leslie) and I found a total of 15 Green
treefrogs on that side of the boardwalk and another 3 on the other side of
the boardwalk towards the Nature Center. Some were close enough to
see details and appeared to be resting with their eyes closed or partially
closed. These are critters that I haven't seen very often, so it was an
exciting morning.
