VA Birders, 16 birders participated in today's Northern Virginia Bird Club walk at Huntley Meadows led by Larry Catwright and me. It was a beautiful day to be out on the boardwalk. Highlights were Red-headed Woodpeckers and a nice assortment of raptors. We also enjoyed an ice skating show put on by a group of Mallards near the tower.. Before the main walk Jay Keller and I checked out the Hike-Bike side where we saw a Barred Owl and two Hermit Thrushes.
