I went for a late afternoon walk around Huntley
Meadows after the rain stopped this afternoon.
Overall, it was fairly quiet especially after a cold
front came through and brought the wind with it.
There were a few good bird though:
1 great egret
2 gadwall (pair)
12 green-winged teal
5 hooded merganser
16 snipe
1 eastern towhee - nice bright male
uncharacteristically sitting up in plain view.
c. 40 fish crows in one flock at the top of a tree
bordering the northern edge of the marsh.
a dozen or so field sparrows.
