I went to see what was at the 3 lakes in Amherst Co. yesterday 4-27-07
afternoon. At
Mill Creek Lake I saw:
Common Loon-2
Lesser Scaup- 6M 5F
Greater Yellowlegs-1( Had awesome looks)
Osprey-1
Solitary Sandpiper- 26 ( High count for this area)
Thrashers Lake:
Red Breasted Mergansers-4F
This afternoon 4-28-07 I was looking out the livingroom window when I saw a
Blue Grosbeak
at my feeder. It was eating Thistle that was on the ground. That was the first
time I had seen
one in the neighborhood. My wife also saw it. It was a beautiful male.
