Kingston Steam Plant
Roane County
On Swan Pond Rd approx. 1 mile (parking lot at soccer and baseball fields) from
Hwy.70 between Kingston and Rockwood, TN
Monday Sept. 1, 2008 midday visit
Least Sandpiper 2
Western Sabdpiper 7
Baird's Sandpiper 1
White-rumped Sandpiper 2
Stilt Sandpiper 2
Buff-breasted Sandpiper 2
Dowitcher sp. 2
Semipalmated Plover 4
Spotted Sandpiper 1
Killdeer many
Caspian tern 2
All were on the upper center pond at north end.
Buff-breasted were at north end of pond back from water's edge (could miss
without careful scan)
Dowithchers, Stilts and Baird's departed while I was there.
