Nine members of the Knoxville Chapter, TOS, birded at Kingston Steam Plant today. A total of 39 species were identified. Highlights included three Snow Geese (two white, one blue morph), two Bufflehead, two Ring-necked Ducks, one Lesser Scaup and numerous other common ducks. The Brown-headed Nuthatches still inhabit the pines around the picnic area. We had one very long close up look while the bird preened.
